I currently have 4 drafts coming down the pipeline and 3 of them are negative.

I made my thoughts about AI well-known in my recent post about it, and these posts are in a similar vein. Although, they don’t have the whole “human creativity is great” thing. It’s just me complaining about the state of consumerism and how large companies can now get away with making subpar experiences because why not?

I don’t like writing like this.

I want my little baby Substack to be a happy place where I can share my thoughts about the things I like and love!

So…

Even though I think it’s important to notice the ways companies are becoming worse, and websites are designed to be as sticky as possible, and why are you showing me this on my feed I’m not following this person. I think it’s more important to share the things we love (maybe not on those platforms, but with one another).

Therefore…

I am deleting those drafts. The work and thought that I put into them will never see the light of day. I am emerging from the cesspool of negativity, and submerging myself in the hot tub of positivity (It smelled in there anyway).

Positive Things I’ve Been Thinking About

I was going to just leave it at that, but I wanted to give some things I’ve been thinking a lot about that I think are positive and good! Both of these things will likely get a full write-up at some point.

John 14:1-14

Uh-oh, Christian jumpscare!

I’ve had multiple quiet times where I attempted to read all of John 14 and once I got to verse 14, I had to put it down and pray.

The passage starts with this:

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also."

I mean, come on. It’s such a salve to worry knowing that the one who is all-powerful and all-knowing instructs us not to worry.

Tunic

Tunic is a Zelda-like video game that was developed by the indie studio Isometricorp Games, Ltd. It’s so stinking good and I can’t stop thinking about it.

My favorite thing about Tunic is this;

within the game exists a manual for how to play the game. You find pages with maps, lore, secret locations, tips, and even controls that you could have been using the whole time, but you just didn’t know they existed.

It’s really unique and makes the game streamlined, and approachable, and makes it feel like a puzzle.

One More Thing

Look at this Mewtwo card I got in Pokemon TCG Pocket the other day!
